A KLB Board member are our representatives in our local community to help work on accomplishing the mission of the organization.  The objective of a KLB Board member is to advise on policy, recommend specific programs, actively participate in the implementation of the programs, and engaging individuals in our community in taking greater responsibility for improving their community environment. As a board member, they are required to do the following:
  • Participate in monthly meetings (Jan – Nov, One Wednesday a month at 11:30 am).
  • Attend at least nine meetings a year
  • Work to implement programming mission through committee work.
  • Required participation in leadership roles in the three major KLB events (GAC, Earth Day Celebration, & Rivers Alive)
  • Required participation in recruitment efforts annually for Great American Cleanup and Rivers Alive.
  • Engage in leadership roles in KLB activities for a minimum of 40 volunteer hours 
  • Participate in board training activities.
  • Act as a voice for the mission and activities for KLB in the community.
