Keep Liberty Beautiful offers a Youth Leadership Program called "Green Leaders". Our Green Leader Program is intended for students in tenth grade and above. The program empowers young people by developing leadership skills and social skills by engaging individuals in our community in taking greater responsibility for improving their community while working toward accomplishing the mission of the organization.  Every year, we accept up to 3 applicants a year to participate. Applicants must be entering in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grades and in good academic standing at their school.

Green Leaders is an opportunity to serve in leadership roles in environmental events during the academic year while earning community service hours for involvement in KLB activities. Green Leaders will assist in implementing community activities while building leadership skills.

A maximum of 100 volunteer hours can be earned during the year participating in a variety of environmental activities, including:
Environmental Education Displays at Community Events
Community Litter Cleanup Events
Annual Beach Sweep on St. Catherine’s Island
Recycling Events and Collections
Community Awareness Activities at Parades & Other Community Events
Community Improvement/Beautification Projects
Feedback on Youth Involvement for Organization Advisory Board

Many KLB programs are held on Saturday Mornings (a maximum of 8 to 10 Saturday mornings during the year).

A minimum of 70 hours must be completed to be eligible for an award stipend of $500 by May and possible nominations for local and state award recognition programs.
